Afghan
Development Association (ADA)
founded on 31st October 1990. After
establishment ADA had several
consultations with various donors to
obtain support to work inside
Afghanistan rather than continue its
activities for Afghan refugees in
Pakistan.
A need
assessment survey was conducted in
11 districts of Afghanistan in 1991.
One-year plan for Integrated Rural
Development project implemented
successfully.
The year 1992 was the year of
building capacities of ADA staff and
maintaining good relations with the
community and donors. A 3-year plan
for Integrated Rural Development
project was developed. Different
donors on a partial basis supported
this project. All the components of
the project were implemented
successfully.

VISION |
To eradicate poverty form Afghanistan. For ADA, poverty means
low level of income, low life-span average, not having adequate housing,
lacking personal security, discrimination on the basis of race, gender
and religion, living in fragile environment and lack of participation.

MISSION |
To implement multi-sectorial rehabilitation and development
projects that are designed to foster self-reliance and self-sufficiency,
in addition, empowering Afghans to meet their future needs while
creating the socioeconomic condition that promote peace, stability and
repatriation.
