Afghan Development Association Objectives
 
 

While we move through a volatile political situation in Afghanistan and in the wider region, we continuously evaluate and reframe our approach in order to realize our vision, and achieve our strategic objectives.

These objectives are to;

  • Assist the most needy and vulnerable communities.
  • Help resettle refugees and internally displaced persons and strengthened their livelihood coping mechanism.
  • Encourage repatriation and resettlement of internally displaced people and refugees.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate basic social services at the community level.
  • Promote community empowerment and the establishment of self-help development organizations at the grassroots level.
  • Improve peace building, organization, health, income and social justice at community level.
  • Build awareness on role, contribution and importance of women in community and family life.
  • Ensure increased opportunities for improving life, social standing, vocational/skill development, income, participation and contribution to development work, community matters and family life.
  • Capacity building and promoting literacy of Afghans to meet their future needs.
  • Increase food security and production through improved agricultural inputs and services with better access to development facilities.
  • Aid rehabilitation of basic civil infrastructure.
  • Create income/employment opportunities.
  • Promote health awareness and condition of people via facilitating control in spread of communicable diseases.
  • Contain environmental degradation while encouraging and promoting environmental protection and conservation.
  • Help communities to utilize natural resources in a safe and sustainable way.
